Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson was born May 13, 1986 in London, England.  He is most famous for playing the role of vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight saga.  He also is well known for playing the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Robert got his acting start on stage with the Barnes Theatre Company in London. He played in small roles in Guys and Dolls, Our Town and Macbeth.  He landed his first film role in 2004 playing a small part in the film Vanity Fair.  He co-starred with Reese Witherspoon, Gabriel Byrne, James Purefoy, Angelica Mandy, and Romola Garai.

Pattinson's next appearance would be in the film Curse of the Ring aka Ring of the Nibelungs co-starring Benno Fürmann, Kristanna Loken, Julian Sands, Alicia Witt, Max von Sydow, and Samuel West (2004).

In 2005, Robert gained international fame starring in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory.  He co-starred with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum), Clémence Poésy (Fleur Delacour), and Michael Gambon (Professor Dumbledore) among others.

Pattinson went on to star in the film The Haunted Airman with Julian Sands, Rachael Stirling, Scott Handy, Rachel Sterling, and Daniel Ainsleigh (2006); The Bad Mother's Handbook co-starring Catherine Tate, Anne Reid, Steve Pemberton, Holliday Grainger, and Steve John Shepherd (2007); How to Be co-starring Rebecca Pidgeon, Powell Jones, Michael Irving, and Jeremy Hardy (2008); and Little Ashes co-starring Javier Beltrán, Marina Gatell, and Matthew McNulty (2008);

It was in 2008 that Robert Pattinson landed the role of Edward Cullen in the film Twilight.  He co-starred with Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Billy Burke (Charlie Swan), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Gil Birmingham (Billy Black), Nikki Reed (Rosalie), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Christian Serratos (Angela), Anna Kendrick (Jessica), Cam Gigandet (James), and Kellan Lutz (Emmet Cullen).

The following year Robert went on to star in the second film in the Twilight series, New Moon co-starring most of the cast from Twilight plus newcomers Michael Sheen (Aro), Jamie Campbell Bower (Caius), and Russell Roberts (Mr. Berty).

In 2010, Pattison starred in Remember Me with Emilie de Ravin, Lena Olin, Caitlyn Rund, Chris Cooper, Moisés Acevedo, Tate Ellington, and Pierce Brosnan.  That year came the third Twilight film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.  He co-starred with Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Billy Burke (Charlie Swan), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Xavier Samuel (Riley), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Christian Serratos (Angela), Anna Kendrick (Jessica), Sarah Clarke (Renee), Iris Quinn (Mrs. Biers), Bryce Dallas Howard (Victoria), Elizabeth Reaser (Esme Cullen), and Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen).  Also in 2010, Robert starred in Love & Distrust with Robert Downey Jr., James Franco, Amy Adams, and Dawn Anderson.

2011 was a big year for Pattison as he starred in Water for Elephants with Reese Witherspoon, Christoph Waltz, Paul Schneider, and Hal Holbrook.  Robert also starred in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 with Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Billy Burke (Charlie Swan), Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black), Ty Olssson (Phil Dwyer), Jackson Rathbone (Jasper), Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen), Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen), Sarah Clarke (Renee), Elizabeth Reaser (Esme Cullen), and Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen).
