Britney Jean Spears was born December 2, 1981.  She had her first hit single in 1999 with Baby One More Time which made her an overnight teen pop idol.

Britney made her film debut in the 2001 film Longshot co-starring Tony DeCamillis, Hunter Tylo, Antonio Sabato Jr., Joey Sculthorpe, and Paul Sorvino.  That year she also released her third studio album Britney.

In 2002 she appeared in the film Crossroads with Anson Mount, Zoe Saldana, Kim Cattrall, Dan Aykroyd, Taryn Manning, Justin Long, and Beverly Johnson.  That same year she also did voice work in Robbie the Reindeer in Legend of the Lost Tribe co-starring Ardal O'Hanlon, Jeff Goldblum, Jane Horrocks, Paul Whitehouse, Steve Coogan, and Harry Enfield.

The kiss heard around the world.  During the 2003 MTV Video Music Award show, Britney shared the stage with Madonna and in a random moment engaged in a full on kiss that was the topic of conversation for weeks afterward.

After releasing her fourth smash album In the Zone in 2003,
Spears took some time off to focus on her personal life.  She rebounded with two new albums in 2007 and 2008, Blackout and Circus.  

Still going strong and rockin' it, she released her seventh album Femme Fatale in 2011.  Britney was the best selling female artist last decade and shows no signs of slowing down! She celebrates her 30th birthday on the day of this posting.
